Abstract: This study aimed to explore the impacts of two online apps, Wolfram Alpha and Desmos on students’ mathematical performance and grit. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with two groups of Grade 11 students from Bangcud National High School, Bukidnon, where one group used Wolfram Alpha and the other group used Desmos. The results were compared using t-tests to determine pre and post-test scores for both academic performance and academic grit. The results showed however that while both tools appeared to have the potential to improve student performance, there was no statistically significant difference in their effects between the two tools. The results also indicate that these digital tools can help students with their mathematics and persistence, but the impact on academic outcomes depends on other factors. The results of the study show that it is possible to enhance students’ grit, and therefore their long-term academic achievement, through the use of effective teaching methods combined with interactive tools.
