Abstract: Educational settings characterized by cultural diversity, socioeconomic disparities, and student trauma require counseling practices that promote inclusion, resilience, and personal transformation. This study examines transformative counseling practices depicted in the film Freedom Writers (LaGravenese, 2007) through qualitative content analysis. Grounded in Transformative Learning Theory, Multicultural Counseling Theory, and Humanistic Counseling Principles, the study explores how counseling-related interventions contribute to student empowerment and academic engagement. Data was derived from selected scenes portraying teacher-student interactions, reflective writing activities, emotional support mechanisms, and culturally responsive practices. Findings revealed four major themes: (1) establishment of trust and therapeutic relationships, (2) promotion of student voice through narrative expression, (3) multicultural sensitivity and inclusive practices, and (4) empowerment through resilience-building interventions. The analysis demonstrates that transformative counseling practices extend beyond formal counseling sessions and can be integrated into educational environments through supportive relationships, reflective dialogue, and culturally responsive pedagogy. The study contributes to existing literature by highlighting the role of educator-counselors in addressing psychosocial challenges among marginalized learners. Implications suggest that counseling approaches embedded within classroom practices may enhance student well-being, identity development, and academic success in diverse educational contexts.
