| Abstract: |
On the night of December 3, 2024, after more than 40 years, the people of South Korea once again witnessed the declaration of “martial law”. The order was issued by President Yoon Suk Yeol on national television at 10:23 PM (Seoul time), causing shock both within South Korea and internationally. This action was strongly criticized by the National Assembly, and the president faced significant public protests from a portion of the population. This decision plunged South Korea into a severe political crisis, with many unpredictable and unstable developments occurring. In this study, based on historical and political evidence, we will make several predictions about the future political trajectory of Yoon Suk Yeol. |
