Abstract: |
This study examines how school support systems and access to educational resources affect the academic resiliency of disadvantaged learners. Academic resiliency refers to the ability of students to succeed in their studies despite facing challenges, such as economic hardships.
The research focuses on the importance of support systems in schools, which provide both academic help and emotional support tailored to the needs of individual students. We used a mixed-methods approach, collecting data from various schools that have implemented effective support programs. These programs include tutoring, mentoring, and counseling services that help students overcome obstacles to learning.
Our findings show that when disadvantaged learners receive targeted support, they are more likely to improve their academic performance and develop resilience in facing educational challenges. Additionally, we explore how access to educational resources, such as technology and community partnerships, contributes to creating a supportive learning environment.
The results indicate that schools prioritizing strong support systems not only boost student engagement but also help close achievement gaps among disadvantaged students. This research highlights the vital role of school support systems in promoting academic resiliency and calls for policies that enhance resource allocation and collaboration in education.
