| Abstract: |
This research is part of the evaluation of the effects of anthropogenic pressure on the plant cover of the Urban Municipality of Pita in 1985 and in 2015. The results of the analysis of the land use mapping that the built surface increased from 10.15% in 1985 to 64.47% in 2015. The plant cover occupied 66.74% of the territory in 1985 against 19.97% in 2015, while the agricultural area increased from 22.51% in 1985 to 15.31% in 2015. This increase in built-up areas on forest landscapes is a consequence of population growth and the transgression of town planning rules. |
