Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the impact of social motivation and the classroom environment on students' engagement in learning the Filipino subject during the 2024–2025 academic year. This study provides a significant knowledge gap on the ways in which physical, social, and pedagogical environment, as well as the crucial roles of peer and teacher support, all influence students' engagement in language learning. Students were given surveys to complete, which measured their engagement levels and their perceptions of classroom environment and social motivation using a quantitative study approach. The findings show high levels of engagement, and the educational environment and teacher support were found to be significant indicators of student involvement. In particular, the most significant element was found to be teacher support, which was closely followed by parental involvement and the actual classroom environment. These results demonstrate how social dynamics and classroom environments are connected in improving learning outcomes. This research is significant because it has the potential to influence educational practices by highlighting the importance of positive teacher-student interactions and successful pedagogical strategies to increase student interest in Filipino language studies. Further research into parental involvement strategies and the development of teacher training programs focused on improving the classroom environment to boost student motivation and learning outcomes are some of future directions. This study offers important new information for developing a more engaging and encouraging learning environment for language learners.
