Abstract: ABSTRACT The teachers in the Last Mile schools frequently work in resource-constrained environments where they must manage multigrade classrooms settings in which students from different grade levels are taught together. It presents unique challenges such as the need to design the lessons that caters the varied learning abilities and manage diverse curricular requirements simultaneously, and ensure that every student receives adequate attention and support. The teaching effectiveness in these settings are very crucial for student learning outcomes. When teachers are well-prepared to handle multigrade classrooms, they can create inclusive learning environments, appropriate differentiate classroom instruction, and maintain the student's engagement across grade levels. Moreover, continuing professional development is essential to meet the learning needs of the students. Targeted training equipment from teachers with strategies for lesson planning, classroom management, and formative assessment tailored to multigrade contexts. By enhancing teacher skills, confidence, and professional development directly contributes to improved student achievement and helps bridge educational gaps in underserved Last Mile Schools. Therefore, managing multigrade classes presents special challenges for instructors in Last Mile Schools including their effectiveness which serves as a fundamental aspect for successful learning outcomes to every learner. To increase teacher effectiveness and eventually raise the student’s accomplishment, professional development is crucial. Improving educational performance in underprivileged communities can only be achieved through effective teaching in multigrade classrooms, especially at last mile institutions. In order to improve teacher effectiveness and thereby affect student learning, professional development is essential. Despite the increasing recognition of the importance of professional development, there is limitation empirical evidence on its effects on teacher's efficiency in multigrade settings. This study addresses this gap by recognizing the relationship between training, support, and teacher effectiveness in classroom settings. The first primary objective of this study is to assess and examine how professional development training and support its impact of teacher efficiency in handling multigrade classes in last mile schools. A quantitative correlational research design was employed and utilizes a Pearson's correlation coefficients to analyze the relationships between training, support, and efficiency among eighty (80) participating teachers in multigrade classrooms. The result indicates a strong positive correlation between training and teacher efficiency (r = .821, p = .004), as well as between support and teacher efficiency (r = .810, p = .005). However, the correlation between efficiency and teacher characteristics showed no significant relationship (r = .330, p = .353). The findings implicate the result of professional development as well as the individual support systems that are necessary for improving teacher efficiency in multigrade classrooms. This focuses the need for educational administrators to invest in comprehensive training programs tailored to the unique challenges of last mile schools, ultimately contributing to improved educational outcomes for marginalized students.
