Abstract: This paper presents the theoretical basis, the current status, and proposes three measures to develop critical thinking for preschool children through science exploration activities, based on a survey conducted at two kindergartens in the highland district of Sop Cop, Son La province. The results of the pilot and experimental studies show that the proposed measures are feasible and yield significant effects, contributing to improving the quality of educational activity organization in schools. The paper contributes a scientific basis for the innovation of early childhood education activities towards competency development.
