| Abstract: |
Career adaptability has become increasingly critical for college students in responding to the dynamic and evolving demands of the labor market. This study aims to assess the level of career adaptability among students at colleges in Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam. A structured questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 450 students across three vocational colleges to evaluate their adaptability in relation to core professional skill requirements. The findings reveal that overall career adaptability among students remains at a moderate level. Many students tend to prioritize theoretical knowledge while neglecting the development of practical competencies and job application skills. Furthermore, their perceptions of labor market requirements are often inconsistent with actual workforce demands, and their self-assessment abilities remain limited. These shortcomings pose considerable challenges in terms of career decision-making and employment readiness upon graduation. The results underscore the urgent need for targeted educational interventions and enhanced career counseling programs to better equip students for successful labor market integration |
