| Abstract: |
The study will be aimed to Monitoring of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) with the objectives to study the indications for prescribing NSAIDs among the elderly patients attending outpatient departments, the choice of NSAIDs prescribed for the above indications among the elderly patients and study the co- prescribing patterns of PPIs along with NSAIDs among these elderly patients. The data for the present study will be collected from the patients who are attending the out-patient departments. The study will be conducted at bedded tertiary care hospital equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment facilities and it will be carried out for a period of 6 to 9 months.
