Abstract: Mathematics is the key subject among the elementary and secondary level school through which help to develop skills like critical thinking, problem solving skills, analytical thinking, quantitative reasoning and ability to manipulate precise and intricate ideas in the students but at the same time they also develop mathematical phobia due to abstractedness of its subject matters and pedagogical approach which are traditionally followed in the modern Indian classroom. To study the level of mathematical achievement of secondary school students. The descriptive survey method of quantitative research was used by keeping in view of the nature and timing of this research. In the present study, the researcher used random sampling technique for disproportionate classification. For the present study, the researcher selected 10 government secondary schools by using simple random sampling technique in which 160 (80 boys, 80 girls) students each from Urdu and Bangla medium selected in the study. There is no significant difference in achievement test of Urdu and Bangla medium boys students of secondary school in mathematics. |
