Abstract: The digital economy has clearly had a significant impact on our daily social and economic activities. The term's scope may be widened to cover all markets that rely on digital platforms and technology to perform various sorts of trades centred on data, services, and things. The growth and development of the digital sector have led to the easy digital trading on platforms that we now enjoy, which goes much beyond the most basic notions of "digitalisation." This article will examine the key players in the digital market in order to answer the difficulties and challenges raised by competition and antitrust authorities. Furthermore, the paper seeks to transmit advice and give inputs to tackle the aforementioned issues by referring to already recognised sectors and pre-existing statements made by competition authorities, famous researchers, and academic personalities. The article will go into detail about the arrival and growth of digitalisation, as well as the evolution of digital markets, by identifying and analysing the important causes that contributed to the formation and growth of digital markets. In response to such data theft charges, Google claims that access to such data is critical for its operating operations and providing the user with a tailored experience. Google, as an advertising corporation, also analyses search-query logs for income production, notably for precise targeting and better ad efficiency. Behavioural advertising is a prominent feature of the Google Engine's algorithm, which propels it ahead of the pack and makes it the most popular search engine on the globe. In terms of the market description difficulty, in circumstances involving the digital economy, the strategy based on fair substitutability must be reversed. It is suggested that when determining the appropriate industry, competition authorities use a far more comprehensive approach. Failure to do so would very probably result in incorrect approvals or denials, harmed market competitiveness and innovation.
