| Abstract: |
Thematic audit is an important part of the audit activities of the state audit, in line with the advocacy trend in modern auditing activities today. The selection of topics for thematic audits is an important step, determining the quality, efficiency as well as the success of the audit. Over the years, the State Audit of Vietnam has conducted thematic audits with increasing quantity and quality, affirming its great role and right orientation. However, in addition, thematic audit activities of the State Audit of Vietnam also have shortcomings and inadequacies that reduce the quality, efficiency and contribution of the State Audit in general. The experiences drawn from the practice of thematic auditing activities in general and the selection of audit topics in particular by the State Audit of Vietnam are very useful for state auditors of other countries with similar circumstances to refer to in the process of developing thematic audits. |
