The ultimate goal of this study was to determine the motivational factors of tourists in visiting tourist destinations in Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon. The purpose of the survey was to (1) identify the demographic profile of the tourists in terms of age, gender, and educational attainment, (2) determine the primary motivational factors for tourists visiting Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon, based on scenery, recreational activities, and accessibility, and (3) analyze whether there was a significant difference in the motivational factors of tourists when grouped according to their demographic profile. The study explored tourist experiences in two popular destinations in Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon: Kavanah Haven Resort and Taglucop Strawberry Hills. The population consisted of an average of 100 daily tourists at Kavanah Haven Resort and 60 at Taglucop Strawberry Hills, totaling 160 individuals. From this population, a sample size of 114 respondents was calculated. The findings provided insights into visitor preferences and perceptions, contributing to improved service and destination management strategies. A structured questionnaire was utilized, divided into two sections. The first section gathered demographic information, including age, gender, and education level, while the second section explored the reasons for visiting, such as accessibility, recreational activities, and scenic views. Scenery emerged as the most significant motivator, with tourists prioritizing tranquility, natural beauty, and unique attractions. Recreational activities were ranked second, highlighting leisure, relaxation, adventure, and cultural experiences. Accessibility received the lowest score, yet exhibited strong agreement with road conditions and travel time identified as primary factors. |
