Abstract: In recent years, teaching English has become a compulsory subject at schools, colleges and universities. That is the reason why teaching and learning English effectively play a crucial role in the development of educational system. However, students who have been learning and using two languages at the same time seem to be weak in communicative skills due to the stuttering in bilingual in which students seem to be mixing vocabulary or code mixing from both languages in one sentence. This leads to a matter of debate whether or not bilingualism can cause stuttering and several questions have been still open ragrading the prevalence and manifestation of stuttering in bilinguals. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to seek out the evidence to prove the relationship between stuttering and bilingualism. The results showed that bilingualism is the result as well as the direct cause of stuttering and the cognitive overwork possibly will be a contributing factor to this trouble. Therefore, it is suggested that both parents and teachers should hand in hand to raise children bilingually without stuttering.
