| Abstract: |
The use of nanomaterial has exponentially increased in recent years, due to its multifunctional properties that are beneficial to be applied in many fields, including chemical industries, agriculture and pharmaceuticals. One of the most widely used nanomaterial is Zinc Oxide (ZnO) which a good semi-conductor well known for its strong stability value. However, uncontrolled regulation managing its discharge into environmental compartment has been reported cause several toxicological issues. Most importantly, the aquatic environment holds a high burden for this kind of pollution. This review paper will discuss how the toxicological impact of ZnO discharge into aquatic environment particularly to commercially important fish. |
