| Abstract: |
This study determines the impact of macroeconomic and corporate factors on the profitability of cement enterprises in Vietnam. This study used 18 cement companies listed on the stock exchange in Vietnam as a sample and covered the period of 2012-2021. Return on assets (ROA) was selected as the dependent variable and size, age, financial leverage, solvency ratio, cost-to-revenue ratio, inflation rate, and GDP growth rate were chosen as the independent variables. In which the variables of size, age, financial leverage, ratio of affordability, ratio of cost to revenue are factors belonging to cement companies and factors such as inflation rate, GDP growth rate are macroeconomic factors. This study considers ROA as a measure of the profitability of firms. Research results show that financial leverage, solvency ratio, cost-to-revenue ratio have a significant negative impact on profitability of cement companies listed on the stock exchange in Vietnam. |
