Abstract: Learning and teaching process has been under positive and negative impacts of the rapid changes in economy, culture, and society worldwide. This study investigated the factors which contribute to motivation in learning English among 60 second-year students at Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration (TUEBA) in Vietnam. This is a mixed research method using instrument of questionnaires with Likert scale. Findings showed that teachers components, personal attitudes, learning environment, facilities and parental influence do have influence in affecting students’ motivation to learn a second language of which personal attitudes and parental influence remark significant results.
