| Abstract: |
Hepatitis is an inflammation of a liver. Hepatitis B is most common type of hepatitis that transmitted through blood, unprotected sex, vertical transmission etc. Approximately 296 million people are affected by hepatitis B, it contributes 820000 death every year. Hepatitis titer test use to reassure that person is immunized against Hepatitis B virus or not that is performed after 1-2 month of last dose of Hepatitis B. To assess the effectiveness of educational package on knowledge regarding Hepatitis B and hepatitis Titer test among Nursing students. the nature of the study was Quasi experimental. This study is conducted at Rohilkhand College of Nursing, Bareilly. 150 samples were collected by using purposive sampling technique. The conceptual framework used for this study, a General systems model approach is used that is given by Ludwig Von Bertalanffy in 1950’s. The data was collected by Self structure knowledge questionnaire. The collected data were analysed by using Ms excel, descriptive and inferential statistics. Chi-square, and paired ‘t’ test value was found to be highly statistically significant at level of p<0.001 post test mean 21.87 ± 2.80 is greater than pre test mean 11.15 ± 2.64 because they went through treatment ( educational package) the mean difference is 10.72 . The result shows that the mean of post test get improved compared to pre test. Hence educational package is effective in imparting the knowledge and developing the awareness. Need to provide free vaccination and check titer level.
