Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the effect of information asymmetry, job relevant information and the effectiveness of budget control. Data collection in this study used a survey design by giving questionnaires to respondents. The unit of analysis is the Gowa Regional Financial Management Board. The population in this study were auditors at the Indonesian Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia Representative Office of South Sulawesi, totaling 54 employees. The results showed that information asymmetry had a positive and significant effect on budgetary slack. Job relevant information has a negative and significant effect on budgetary slack. The effectiveness of budget control has a significant effect on budgetary slack.
