| Abstract: |
Skin is the largest organ of human body. It is more susceptible to various infections caused by bacteria, fungi etc. Dadru is one amongst them. Dadru can be very well correlated with Ringworm infection of contemporary science based on the clinical features like Itching, Erythema, Eruption, Circular elevation of skin. Ringworm infection is especially caused due to poor hygienic conditions. According to Ayurveda Dadru kushta comes under kshudra kushta, the symptoms of Dadru kushta are Kandu (Itching), Raga (Redness), Pidaka (Eruption), Utsanna (elevation of skin), Visarpana (Spreading). Saubhagyadi churna lepa is one among the unique formulation mentioned in Rasa Tarangini indicated in the management of Dadru Kushta. Aim: This study is aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Saubhagyadi churna lepa in the management of Dadru Kushta. Methodology: The present study deals with a 37 years old female patient having complaints of severe itching, spreading, blackish discoloration over buttocks in the last one year. External application of Saubhagyadi churna lepa twice a day for 45 days. |
