Abstract: |
This study examined the effectiveness of Simplified-Guided Module in improving the research writing skills of Senior High School (SHS) students in Tongantongan National High School. Many SHS students struggling with structuring research papers, formulating research questions, and applying proper methodologies due to lack of experience and confidence. To address these challenges, this study implemented a structured, step-by-step module which designed to simplify the research writing process. Using a quasi-experimental research design, two (2) participating groups of Grade 11 General Academic Strand are the respondents of the study. A pre-test was administered to assessed their initial research writing skills, and after completing the module, a post-test was done to measure their progress. Results showed a < 0.5 improvement. Based on the result, both participating groups were significantly improved their Research writing skills using of Simplified Guided module, where most students advancing from "Beginning" levels to "Competent" or "Skilled" levels. Based on the semi-structured interview, students improved their research writing skills with the help of the Simplified-Guided Module, making the writing process more accessible and structured. |
