Abstract: |
This study examines the challenges and adjustments experienced by master teachers reassigned from higher to lower grade levels, highlighting the need for flexibility, creativity, and patience in addressing the developmental needs of younger learners. Teachers reported difficulties in managing classroom behavior and adapting communication styles, often feeling unprepared due to limited training specific to lower-grade instruction. Successful transitions were linked to a positive mindset, strong relationships with students and colleagues, and active pursuit of professional development and mentoring. The findings suggest that schools should offer targeted support and training to enhance teachers’ confidence and effectiveness, ultimately improving student learning outcomes. This research underscores the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning in facilitating smooth grade-level transitions for educators. |
