Abstract: Mathematics performance is a key predictor of academic success, but students who experience trauma often face significant barriers in their learning process. Trauma-Informed Instruction (TII) is designed to create a supportive learning environment that acknowledges and mitigates these challenges. This study compares the effects of TII and Conventional Instruction (CI) on Grade 10 students' mathematics performance. A quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design was used to assess two groups: one receiving TII and the other following CI methods. Findings reveal that both instructional methods led to improvements in mathematics performance, with CI demonstrating a slightly higher mean gain. However, the results suggest that while CI provides immediate academic benefits, TII may contribute to long-term cognitive resilience and problem-solving abilities. These findings highlight the need for extended research into the sustained impact of trauma-informed strategies in mathematical education
