Abstract: This study examined the assignments and experiences of outstation teachers in Bukidnon, particularly focusing on the availability and needs for teachers in remote areas. The study also highlighted the challenges faced by outstation teachers. A qualitative research methodology was used in this study, specifically utilizing a case study approach to investigate the coping mechanisms and real-world experiences of outstation teachers in Bukidnon. The study was conducted at Talakag National High School in Talakag, Bukidnon, which was chosen due to its significant number of outstation teachers. The study's participants included four outstation teachers who were purposefully chosen based on particular criteria, such as having worked at Talakag National High School for at least one year and currently residing outside of the Municipality of Talakag. The decision-making process that the teachers were assigned to remote areas are based on Deped policies and guidelines in hiring newly teachers. Far from their hometowns, adjusting in travelling, limited transportation, higher travel expenses were some of the challenges that the outstation teachers have experience. By effectively managing their money, outstation teachers are able to budget their professional needs which helps them cope with the challenges they encounter. Family considerations are highlighted by the respondent who plans to file for a transfer nearest to their residence to be with their family. These findings provide valuable insights into the experiences, challenges, coping strategies, and aspirations of outstation teachers in Bukidnon. They can help develop support systems and activities that address these teachers' special requirements, increase their well-being, and improve educational quality in remote places.
