| Abstract: |
Extradural spinal hematoma is a rare pathology and a cause of acute spinal cord compression. It requires urgent diagnosis and management. We report a case of a young patient aged 25, who presented with acute spinal cord compression in the aftermath of a dorsal spinal anesthesia (T4-T5) performed for thoracic surgery (recurrent pneumothorax), A spinal MRI was performed urgently , which objectified an epidural hematoma. Patient underwent emergency surgery with favorable postoperative outcome. The authors insist on the importance of early diagnosis and management to minimize neurological sequel. |
