| Abstract: |
The potential of the capture fisheries sector in Anambas Islands Regency is quite large so it needs to be managed and utilized properly. It is necessary to know the description of the existing fishing effort so that development in the capture fisheries sector can develop optimally. Hand lines are a type of fishing gear used by fishermen in the Anambas Islands Regency. There are 2 types of hand lines operating in these waters based on the size of the ship's engine, namely ships with motors <15 HP and boats with motors 15-30 HP (pompong handlines). The business of catching pompong handlines produces more fish in terms of types and quantity. Business capital and operational costs incurred in the fishing effort using pompong fishing gear are greater than using handline fishing gear. |
