Abstract: |
This study explores the intersection of technology and learner autonomy in the context of English language learning, emphasizing the significant role that digital tools play in enabling self-directed learning. Through qualitative analysis of English teachers' experiences, it highlights how applications like Padlet, Grammarly, Quizlet, and Mentimeter can enrich writing instruction and foster independent learning. Despite the potential of technology to revolutionize the learning experience, challenges such as the digital divide and the complexity of integrating new tools into the curriculum persist. The research underscores the need for strategic approaches to technology use in education, advocating for a balanced integration that enhances learner autonomy while addressing barriers to effective technology use. This concise inquiry into the facilitation of autonomous learning through digital means points towards a future where technology, when effectively harnessed is pivotal in crafting engaging and personalized educational experiences. |
