| Abstract: |
This study aimed to determine the influence of students’ information literacies and digital skills on their engagement with the library. The study participants were college students from State University in Bukidnon Statellite Campus. This study aimed to determine the influence of students’ information literacies and digital skills on their engagement with the library. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and regression. The study revealed that students generally possess high information literacy skills, excelling in finding, evaluating, and using information effectively. However, some students face challenges in quickly retrieving information and rephrasing it in their own words. In terms of digital skills, students demonstrated high levels of proficiency across various competencies, including photo-visual, reproduction, branching, socio-emotional, and real-time skills, showcasing their readiness to thrive in the digital age. Library engagement was also found to be high, with students frequently interacting with librarians and actively utilizing library resources. The study suggests that participants demonstrate a strong ability to navigate digital tools and utilize library resources, indicating their readiness for further engagement and development in information literacy. |
