Abstract: This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using of video recording projects in foreign language learning. The participants were 30 first-year English-majored students at Tay Do University. Interview questions were used as an instrument of this study to collect the participants’ opinions about the effectiveness of video project assignments. The results showed that video projects had many positive effects on the development of students’ language skills, learning process and learning results. The students could develop their language skills, especially speaking and listening skills. They became more create, active and confident in communication. Last but not least, recording videos had a positive effect on the students’ academic performance.
