Abstract: This paper aimed to examine the work-life balance of students in higher education who also bear the responsibilities of employment to sustain themselves financially. The study used a phenomenological approach, focusing on the personal experiences and perspective of working students. The data was collected through in-depth interviews to explore the challenges, strategies, and perceptions related to work-life balance. The respondents of the study were purposefully chosen based on particular criteria, such as a student currently enrolled in higher education for the S.Y. 2023-2024 within Bukidnon at the same time working as a part-timer.Findings revealed that working students in higher education face financial pressure and challenges in managing their time and workload. They work to lessen the financial burden on their families, support their education, and fulfill personal needs. To cope with these challenges, they employ strategies such as prioritizing tasks, creating schedules, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. From the findings, it can be inferred that financial reasons serve as the primary motivation for students to work while studying. Balancing work and study pose challenges due to the financial pressure experienced by students. Thus, it is recommended to prioritize time management skills to effectively balance work and study commitments.
