Abstract: |
This study explores the interrelated competencies of Digital Resiliency, Growth Mindset, and Problem-Solving Competence among college students at Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) in the Philippines. As the educational landscape evolves, these competencies are increasingly vital for students to successfully navigate challenges such as technological barriers and academic pressures. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research assesses students' levels of digital resiliency, growth mindset, and problem-solving skills, as well as the relationships among these constructs.
The findings indicate that students at CFCST generally exhibit a high level of digital resiliency, particularly in understanding online risks and adapting to new digital environments. Additionally, those with a growth mindset are more likely to engage actively with their studies and persist through difficulties. However, the study identifies gaps in critical evaluation skills regarding online information and awareness of peer support networks.
The research emphasizes the need for educational institutions to integrate comprehensive digital literacy programs and initiatives that foster a growth mindset. Recommendations include enhancing problem-solving training, developing peer support networks, and conducting further research on these competencies within localized contexts. By addressing these areas, educators can better equip students to thrive in an evolving digital landscape, ultimately contributing to their academic success and personal development.
