Abstract: |
This study examined the influence of communication styles and collaborative school culture on the job satisfaction of teachers in the Department of Education, Division of Bukidnon for School Year 2024–2025. Using a total enumeration approach, 192 elementary teachers from Don Carlos I District served as respondents. The instruments measuring communication styles, collaborative school culture, and job satisfaction were adapted from validated sources and achieved high reliability (Cronbach’s α = 0.854, 0.758, and 0.812, respectively). Quantitative analyses including means, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression were employed at 0.01 and 0.05 levels of significance.
Findings revealed that assertive, open, and inclusive communication styles were significantly and positively associated with job satisfaction, whereas aggressive communication showed a negative correlation. Additionally, collaborative school culture—encompassing leadership, teacher collaboration, professional development, and shared purpose—was positively linked with job satisfaction. Multiple regression results identified inclusive communication, collaborative leadership, collegiate support, and professional development as strong predictors of teacher satisfaction.
These results suggest that nurturing positive communication and a culture of collaboration can significantly improve teacher well – being, effectiveness, and retention.
