Abstract: |
The growing presence of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has introduced new challenges related to academic integrity. This study investigated the level of students’ artificial intelligence literacy, self-regulation skills, and awareness of institutional policies and their influence to the students’ adherence to academic integrity. Descriptive-correlational research design was employed. Data were gathered from 363 students using modified research instruments. Descriptive statistics and Multiple Regression Analysis were used to analyze the data. The results revealed significant relationships among AI literacy, self-regulation, policy awareness, and academic integrity. These findings offer valuable insights for educational institutions to develop AI literacy programs and reinforce policies that encourage ethical academic practices. With these, librarians may position themselves as AI literacy leaders within the institutions by developing specialized workshops, search guides for AI-related topics, and creating tutorials on ethical AI use to help students navigate the ethical use of AI tools in research and academic writing. |
