| Abstract: |
Stress in the general sense means a mental condition which is experienced by majority of the people in their busy life caused by anxiety, tension, frustration, angry, etc. Nowadays it is a common word in student’s life; especially higher education students are facing stress due to academic and non-academic factors. The transformation to virtualized education due to COVID 19 also causes stress among students reasoned by lack of infrastructure, lack of finance, network issues, etc. Therefore, understanding the attitude of students towards online classes and the level of stress over them is very important. To conduct this study, 120 samples were selected using a convenient sampling method from the population of students from four autonomous colleges in Thrissur district of Kerala namely Vimala College, St Thomas College, St Joseph College, and Christ College. Learning online is the only option during COVID 19, but we have to control the stress for ensuring the success of the online classes. The findings of the study could contribute significantly to a better understanding of the stress and the remedies to reduce the same among students due to online classes. |
