| Abstract: |
This research utilized a quantitative survey methodology to investigate EFL learners' perceptions of ChatGPT as a tool for improving their writing skills. The survey examined learners' perceptions of ChatGPT in three primary domains: usability, perceived efficacy for writing enhancement, and its influence on motivation. The study sought to evaluate learners' perceptions of ChatGPT's impact on their grammar, vocabulary, organization, coherence, and its effect on their overall writing ability and engagement with writing activities. The results indicate that learners have a favorable view of ChatGPT, emphasizing its usefulness in strengthening writing abilities and boosting motivation, but also uncovering concerns around overdependence and academic integrity. |
