Abstract: |
This study investigates how Kitaotao Districts I, II, and III teachers in Bukidnon perform in the classroom, focusing on their instructional competence skills, motivation, and dedication to their work. Teaching skills, or instructional competence, mean planning lessons, teaching effectively, and checking how well students are learning. The study used surveys to gather information from basic education teachers in the area. The results show that teachers are very dedicated to their jobs. They care deeply about their students' success and work hard in their roles. This dedication is seen in their emotional commitment, sense of duty, and decision to stay in the profession. Teachers are also highly motivated by both internal and external factors. Internally, they love teaching, and externally, they are encouraged by support and recognition from others. The study found that teachers in these districts are skilled in teaching. They can meet the needs of different types of students, explain lessons clearly, use effective teaching methods, and check student progress thoroughly. Teachers who are more motivated and committed tend to perform better in their teaching roles, which leads to better learning outcomes for students. The study also identified that the strongest factors driving teachers’ success are their personal love for teaching (intrinsic motivation) and their commitment to staying in the profession (continuance commitment). These two factors are the best predictors of how well teachers can teach. The findings highlight the importance of supporting teachers' passion for teaching and their long-term dedication to their work, as these are key to improving education in the district. |
