Abstract: |
This study explores the relationship between student development and internship satisfaction among graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program at the Philippine College Foundation. It focuses on the dimensions of student development, including trainings, seminars, and instructions, as well as internship satisfaction in terms of task relevance and learning opportunities. A descriptive-correlational research design was utilized, with data collected from graduates through a structured survey. Results indicate that student development is perceived positively, with seminars contributing most to their growth, followed by trainings and instructions. Similarly, internship satisfaction is rated highly, with task relevance receiving slightly higher ratings compared to learning opportunities. The analysis reveals a significant positive relationship between student development and internship satisfaction, highlighting the strong influence of well-structured academic and practical learning experiences on graduates’ professional preparedness. Instructions, in particular, exhibit the strongest correlation with learning opportunities, underscoring the need to ensure alignment between instructional strategies and industry demands. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating experiential learning opportunities, relevant tasks, and effective instruction into academic programs to enhance student preparedness and satisfaction. The study underscores the critical role of academic institutions in fostering holistic student development through programs that bridge theory and practice.
