Abstract: Abstract This research aims to examine the challenges and opportunities faced by the Filipino language in the academic context during the era of digitalization. Through a qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews, the lack of Filipino-based digital resources was identified as a major barrier to student learning, resulting in lower levels of comprehension and proficiency in their native language. Participants highlighted the need for more local materials and greater support from institutions and the government to improve the quality of education. The study suggests more active collaboration with content creators and publishers, as well as the development of digital tools focused on the Filipino language. Recommendations include the creation of educational programs centered on digital literacy in Filipino and training for teachers. In this way, the Filipino language will not only serve as a tool for learning but also as a vital part of national identity in the face of ongoing technological advancement.
