Abstract: |
Developing collaboration and communication dynamics, alongside promotional strategies, allows librarians to keep libraries relevant, accessible, and impactful in their communities. This descriptive-correlational study explored the influence of librarians' collaboration, communication dynamics, and promotional strategies on students’ intentions to utilize library services. It involved 100 3rd- and 4th-year students selected through random sampling from five sections of the Access Services Division at a state university in Marawi City. Data were gathered via a structured questionnaire using the 5-Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that librarians’ collaboration and communication dynamics were rated high, while promotional strategies were rated as moderate. The results show that librarians’ collaboration and communication dynamics and promotional strategies significantly influence students’ library utilization intentions. The study highlights the need for librarians to enhance their engagement and promotional approaches while refining key skills to foster an academically supportive library environment. Enhanced librarian-student collaboration and targeted promotional activities can significantly contribute to improving library utilization and supporting academic success. |
