| Abstract: |
The development of digital literacy has become an important factor in the research of scholars and policy makers worldwide. To achieve this goal, this study utilizes conceptual models of digital literacy and competence. This research aims to: (1) assess digital skills and competencies; (2) identify the necessary digital skills for students; and then (3) evaluate the digital skills of students in Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam. Data for the study were collected from 500 university students in Thai Nguyen Province in 2023. The analysis results indicate that the current digital skills of students are only at an average level. Among these, safety skills are scored highest, approaching an advanced level, indicating that students in Thai Nguyen Province prioritize cybersecurity issues. Following this, communication and collaboration skills rank next, with digital content creation skills scoring the lowest. |
