Abstract: The world is currently facing a multitude of concurrent challenges, ushering in an era of unpredictability, surprises, and difficulties in foreseeing and preparing for education, particularly in higher education. These challenges are sourced from various factors, including the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the swift advancements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the evolving societal and workforce demands. In response to these challenges, educational institutions are compelled to craft effective, timely solutions for their learners, especially in the context of the ongoing pandemic. This article delves into the blended learning model, considered one of the most efficacious approaches in the present educational landscape. Recommendations are provided for its implementation in the education of foreign language students at the School of Foreign Languages, Thai Nguyen University, with the aim of enhancing teaching and learning experiences. Blended learning offers numerous advantages compared to other teaching methods, such as improved pedagogical methods, increased flexibility and opportunities for learners, and reduced training costs. However, challenges also exist, particularly in terms of learners' access to technology, teacher preparation, and the infrastructural requirements of educational institutions. The successful implementation of the blended learning model hinges on learners' readiness to adapt to new learning methods, teachers' ability to design engaging materials, and institutions' investment in infrastructure and support mechanisms for educators. The blended learning model represents a transitional phase between traditional and online learning models, and its effective use depends on the active participation and adaptability of all stakeholders involved, particularly the learners themselves.
