Abstract: |
This study examines the effectiveness of online reviews in promoting tourist destinations in Maramag, Bukidnon, and their relationship with consumer decision-making across the phases of pre-visit expectations, on-site experience, and post-visit evaluation. Findings reveal that ratings, likes, and shares are perceived as effective, with ratings having the most significant influence on consumer perceptions. Decision-making variables, including risk-taking, commitment to decision, and satisfaction, were all evaluated positively, with satisfaction emerging as the most influential factor. A strong positive relationship was identified between online reviews and decision-making, highlighting the role of ratings in shaping trust, expectations, and overall satisfaction. Likes and shares, while slightly less impactful, were found to contribute meaningfully to enhancing visibility and reinforcing social validation. The results emphasize the importance of managing consumer feedback and encouraging user engagement to amplify the influence of online reviews. This study underscores the strategic value of consumer-generated content in promoting tourism destinations and improving visitors’ experience. |
