Abstract: |
Epilepsy is a chronic recurrent disorder of cerebral function. This review article is planned to assess the prevalence of documented ADRs of selected and commonly used Anti-Epileptic Drugs (AEDs) namely Phenobarbital, Phenytoin and Carbamazepine in their normal doses among the patients with epilepsy (PWE) who approach the healthcare centers. It also aims to test and verify the hypothesis that ADRs of commonly used AEDs like Phenobarbital, Phenytoin and Carbamazepine are serious and major issues in selecting and prescribing them to PWE approaching hospitals for medical care. |
