Abstract: Employee motivation is crucial determinant of how will employees perform in the job. In the part of Micro and Small Enterprises given the nature of the business, they often face challenges in providing a full range of support, benefits or development opportunities for their employees. Thus, this study aimed to assess the level intrinsic motivation and job performance level among employees and to determine if there is significant relationship between the variables. The study used a descriptive-correlational research design, survey questionnaire, mean and standard deviation. The results showed that intrinsic motivation (autonomy, mastery and purpose) have a positive level of motivation, primarily categorized as “agree”. Findings also indicate that job performance is in the positive level which falls into the “effective” category. In addition, the study finds out that there is a significant relationship between intrinsic motivation and job performance. This study suggest that though it is still under the positive level, the results also reflects the varying level experience of the respondents, which recommends that the organization should continue in tailoring strategies to address employees needs.
