| Abstract: |
Rabbitfish (Siganus Sp.) is a type of reef fish commodity that has high economic value, so it is targeted by many fishermen in the waters of the Seribu Islands. Uncontrolled utilization will result in the sustainability of rabbitfish fisheries resources. A specific description of the condition of the rabbitfish fishery in the Seribu Islands can be used as a reference for the government in managing fishery resources and their area so that the sustainability of the resources in them can be maintained. In a period of 5 years (2010–2014), production figures for baronang catch in the Seribu Islands fluctuated and tended to decrease, with a decline rate of 61% in the 2010–2013 period. The fishing gear used in rabbitfish fishing operations in the Seribu Islands is traps and nets (muroami). The CPUE value of the rabbitfish fishery fluctuated and tended to decrease, with the highest CPUE value in 2010 and the lowest CPUE value in 2012. |
