| Abstract: |
Indonesia has 17,499 islands with a total area of approximately 7.81 million km2. Of the total area, 3.25 million km2 are oceans and 2.55 million km2 are the Exclusive Economic Zone. With these abundant natural resources, Indonesia can create tourism and culinary delights with the available fishery resources. Increasingly, Indonesia is growing rapidly in the area of seafood restaurants, many restaurants provide processed fish that have high nutritional value. The high supply and demand both domestically and abroad have led to rampant fishing of many important species, including the spiny lobster (Panulirus Homarus). Thus, posing a potential future threat to the preservation of these species in nature if not wisely managed. There are several methods to overcome these problems including socialization and education to the public and culinary entrepreneurs so that their existence must be maintained. With the above problems, the need for special attention to this problem, starting from the government initiating tighter supervision, so that this diminishing fishery resource can be maintained and conserved, so that Indonesia can still have fishery resources that can be felt in the future. |
