| Abstract: |
This findings was conducted thoroughly to investigate the real effective policing in crime control and prevention and how it affect police personnel in Nigeria.The objectives of the study is that does high salary of Nigeria personnel improving the attitude to work of the personnels of the Nigeria police force(NPF).Also,to find out if ethical climate will jointly influence the attitude to work of officers in the Nigeria police force. Insecurity in Nigeria nowadays is skyrocketed. In fact,the problem created by this lack of security has generated high rate of vandalism, rape incidence cases,Political violence and many other social vices which have negative impact on Nigeria economy growth and development. Recently Nigerians government has realized shortfall in their security agent,especially police personnels and order Police service commission to recruit highly integrity person as police personnel.Not only that,government has increased the salary and others allowance of their police officer. This study realised that in recent time,insecurity has been major problem confronting many developing nations( Nigeria inclusive)This work is an exploratory research design and adopts interview as source of data collection. Seventy-five police officers were interview in the study area.Data analysis was interpreted and shows clearly in the table.The table 4.1. The outcome of the study shows vividly that their is a weak in policing crime and control in Nigeria.The study recommended that Nigerian government should places high value to security lives and property of their citizenry through effective policing,and reward hardworking personnel among them in order to motivate them to performe optimally |
