Abstract: |
This study examined the relationship between marketing strategies and the competitiveness of independently owned coffee shops in Bukidnon. As the number of coffee shops continues to grow in the province, it becomes essential to understand how marketing practices influence customer preferences and business success. The research focused on the 7Ps of marketing: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Physical Evidence, and Market Position. It aimed to determine how these elements contribute to the perceived competitiveness of coffee shops among their customers. A descriptive-causal research design was utilized, and data were gathered through a structured survey questionnaire administered to stratified respondents from Malaybalay City and Valencia City. Statistical tools such as weighted mean and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that Product, Physical Evidence, and People were rated most effective by customers, reflecting high satisfaction in these areas. On the other hand, Promotion received the lowest rating, indicating the need for improved visibility and outreach. A significant positive correlation was found between marketing strategies and competitiveness, emphasizing the importance of a balanced and customer-centered marketing approach. The study recommends maintaining strong areas while improving promotion and pricing strategies to further enhance customer engagement and market competitiveness. |
